The Sun and The Chariot
It’s a new moon week, with a New Moon in Virgo on September 2-3. This moon in Virgo Season starts Eclipse Season and allows us to reset and release before we embark on a new cycle.
Our first messenger this week is The Sun. This is a Major Arcana card with powerful energy. The Major Arcana are the 22 cards in tarot that follow the journey of the Fool.
This journey depicts the cycle of ups and downs from birth to enlightenment and back to birth. If tarot cards are signs on the road of life, the Major Arcana cards are the flashing billboards.
They have a loud message and speak about a significant moment in your life. It is either a major realization, a critical turning point, or a leveling up. They represent a profound shift in the journey to becoming your higher self.
This happy Major Arcana card depicts rays of light flowing into the Universe. Within these rays are all the signs of the Zodiac, and the figures dance in the warmth. This card is all about innocence, fun, and inner child connection.
The Sun offers us deep healing, especially regarding our emotions. We feel drawn to reflect on the cycles of life, death, and rebirth. The card shows us the gifts of being present and embracing hope.
We are called to breathe deeply, spend time in nature, and ground ourselves in the here and now. We embrace our senses and immerse ourselves completely. The Sun card guides us to loving our inner child and entering a place of safety, protection, and recovery.
This gorgeous card asks us to recall what brought us joy when we were young. What made you happy as a child? What were your favorite activities? How can you bring some of those simple joys back into your life?
As we contemplate those questions, we touch down on our second card, The Chariot. This is also a Major Arcana card and the seventh stop on the Fool’s Journey.
The Chariot represents taking charge of our lives. It is about showing up as our whole selves, building our strength, and taking risks.
The Chariot is not afraid to live the life that they want. They are no longer held back by what others think or the burden of doing what they should do. They know that life is too short and have decided to go for it.
This can show up specifically through travel or expanding our world. The card calls us to life-affirming movement and action.
Ask yourself: What are ways you can embody The Chariot’s energy? Is there a dream you can start planning and saving for? What does your spirit call to you? Where does your heart want you to go?
Take time this week to think about these questions. Write down the places you are called to go and how you could get there. Think practically about the steps needed and when would be the best time.
Focus on the ways you can strengthen your foundation. Take care of your body and mind, get your house in order, and examine your finances.
These things will help you feel strong and organized and perfectly align with Virgo Season. From this place, your plans will seem less like a fantasy and more like a reality.
The Chariot is not just about imagining but putting your dreams into action. The four pillars of the chariot cart point to a solid foundation. They show us that building a strong base in ourselves can be our launching pad to take flight.
Mantra for the week: I connect to my inner warmth and joy, empowering myself to take tangible steps toward my dreams.
