The cards pictured are from the Crowley Thoth Tarot Deck.
Prince of Cups and Four of Cups
The week starts with a Full Moon in Cancer, connecting to our poetic and watery side. This moon welcomes a big release of emotions and a moment to embrace our feelings.
Both our cards this week are in Cups, which is fitting with the Cancer Full Moon. They tell us to listen to our hearts and give ourselves the compassion and care we need.
The Prince of Cups is about awareness of our inner dialog. He wants us to notice how we talk to ourselves and what messages we are sending.
We may have big goals, but in our minds, we don’t think we are deserving or truly believe things will work out. We want our lives to progress and change but our inner monologue says differently.
The Prince of Cups asks us to see if we can match our thoughts with our desires. He asks us to hold self-fulfilling beliefs about ourselves, to think we are good enough, and visualize our success.
The card supports awareness of the stories we tell ourselves. These stories are sending a powerful message. If we want our stories to change, we have to first hear them.
When we become the observer of our thoughts, we can ride the waves instead of having them crash over us. The Prince shows us that acceptance of our feelings makes us skilled surfers on the emotional seas.
With acceptance and compassion, our grief and sadness have their space. We can feel our emotions without pushing them away or having them pull us under. And when they feel heard, we become lighter and more open.
Our thoughts are so powerful and can create so much change. By dropping down into our unconscious and listening to ourselves, magical things start to happen.
The Four of Cups calls for affection, pleasure, and sensory experiences. We crave physical touch, movement, and being in our bodies. It also connects to our desire for healing under the Cancer Full Moon.
Under the influence of the card, we are drawn to the water. Whether it’s the ocean, a lake, or a bath, we want to be submerged and cleansed. We also long to make our homes beautiful, eat delicious food, and spend time with those we love.
The Four of Cups calls us to take stock of all the good we have now. So many of us are blessed to have amazing friends and family. It wants us to let the love we have wash over us.
When we count our blessings, we allow more blessings to enter our lives. We attract more goodness when we focus on our riches instead of what we lack.
Use this energy this week to be grateful for each person and earthly luxury. Write down their names, thank them for their wonderful support, and tell them how much you care. From this place of gratitude, we can set our intentions for this next lunar cycle.
Mantra for the week: Under the Cancer Full Moon, I allow compassion for myself and take pleasure in the small moments.
