The Only Goals Worthy of Your Time

I had an idea to transcribe some podcasts and use a portion of them to create written blog posts. My recordings tend to be on the longer side, so I just included some core ideas here, as preparing the entire transcript for publishing would be quite time-consuming, and create a post much longer than most people would likely read! So if you want to get more in-depth with this topic, you can find the episode here.

In my opinion, the only goals worth setting are emotional goals, or in LOA-manifesting parlance, energetic goals. It’s basically the same. To me, energy and vibration are just fancy words for feelings.

And the reason I think those are the only goals worth setting is because when you think about it, all we really want are to feel certain feelings. Everything is driven by these emotional motivators. Everything in your life right now you don’t like, the only reason you don’t like it, is because these experiences make you feel feelings you don’t like.

And the only reason you want to achieve certain goals or want certain things that you may not have now is because you think getting them will give you feelings that you find desirable, that you are lacking now and you want to feel.

So when we realize that the only thing we care about are our feelings, then focusing on our feelings ,and using that as the guideline, the foundation, for the choices we make, for evaluating opportunities, makes a lot of sense.  Our goal should be constructing our life in a way where we’re creating experiences that are more conducive to feeling these feelings.

But that doesn’t mean abandoning external goals. You still might decide you want to pursue certain things, or you want certain things, but how you go about pursuing them will change very dramatically when you are making the emotion the goal, and not just the external achievement in and of itself.

So one of the most important things you need to figure out in this journey is what feelings you find desirable, what feelings you want to experience more of in your day to day life.

It gets a lot easier to move through life when we make the feelings the focus. Making decisions becomes a lot easier. Evaluating opportunities becomes a lot easier because there’s only one thing you need to take into account when you’re making emotions, emotional goals, your priority. And that one thing is said emotions. Will this path, this choice, this experience, this opportunity, move me closer or further away from those emotional goals?

Will they contribute to more of the feelings I want to feel or will they make me feel more of the feelings I don’t want to feel? When we are making decisions from that egoic space where the worldly result is the most important thing, and we’re being guided by a very misguided thought system, it feels a lot harder.

We appear to have a lot of conflicting intentions and desires. We are taking into account a dozen different things. It feels stressful, and we obsess over whether we are going to make the wrong decision. It will often lead to complete paralysis and a sense of being completely stuck. We feel like we can’t move forward.

So just setting emotional goals simplifies this process quite a bit because  you are only thinking about one thing; there is only one thing you need to consider. That feels a lot easier doesn’t it?

In theory this sounds easy , but in practice it might not be so clean all the time because you might not trust making decisions from that space; it seems too easy and you don’t trust that.

Or you still have different fears, you still have attachments to very certain channels or specific goals and you’re worried that simply taking your feelings into account might lead you away from what your human ego wants you to do, or the result you’re very attached to. A big wall of resistance may go up.

All of that just is what it is and it’s fine; it’s just part of the process, and as long as you try to stay true to the emotional goal, eventually you’ll be able to act from that space more with less fear. When you realize that the feeling is what you truly want and what the egoic mind wants you to do is not really going to give you that feeling, you’ll have an easier time breaking free from its chatter and objections.

So that clarity about how we want to feel makes things a lot easier because then there’s just one thing you really ultimately have to consider in your journey, and all these decisions you’re faced with. You just need to weigh everything against this one simple criteria. A decision that may have seemed difficult when being considered from the egoic space seems very simple and obvious from this space.

Allowing your feelings to guide you means you can start enjoying your life more now; if you still are intent on pursuing certain external goals, that journey will feel a lot better, a lot less tense. If we go about getting things in a way that doesn’t feel good, and then expect these wonderful feelings will just magically appear when we finally get the thing, that we are in for a rude awakening is an understatement if there ever was one.

And if terms like energy and vibration are just fancy words for feelings, anything you do to feel better now will benefit you law-of-attraction-wise without a doubt. Hopefully this will soothe the part of your mind that somehow thinks your misery and discontent benefit you in some way.

Focusing on emotional goals keeps you more internally focused, which is a very good thing. The less you focus externally, the more easily that stuff can actually change. You are focusing on the true level of cause, and your outside world has no choice but to reflect these internal shifts. But the key to maximizing this ‘benefit’ is being open to how all that internal change is reflected in your external experience. It may look very differently than you think it ‘should.’ Things may not happen on the arbitrary timelines you believe they must.

So, think about that today..what are some energetic/emotional goals you could set? What do you want to feel more of in your life? What do you think you could do to accomplish that? What do you need to add to your life? And perhaps more importantly, what do you need to subtract?
