Two of Swords and Queen of Wands
This week, we enter the last month of the year. We are focused on the holidays and the start of 2025. Two cards we received earlier in November have returned to amplify their message. They share their wisdom and support as we navigate the joys and challenges of this season.
Our first card is the Two of Swords. It is sometimes called ‘Peace’ and speaks to a time of tranquility. The card asks us to seek higher ground to see things in a different light.
Depicted are two swords crossed through a lotus blossom. Everything is quiet for a moment, and the world is still. We can step into this energy by centering our bodies and giving our brains a moment to rest, which is essential during the hectic holidays.
Take some time this week to connect to your physical being with a body scan. Sit or lay comfortably and go through each part of your body visualizing a warm light radiating comfort to each area. Though this activity is for your body, it will also do wonders to calm your mind.
With this new energy, insights into how to solve issues we may be facing will come through clearly. We will know how to move through any turmoil we currently find ourselves in. We will find some respite and insight this week, whether at work, in a relationship, or with ourselves.
If you are honest about your feelings, you can tend to them. It might be a more difficult task, but dealing with things directly brings you more peace in the end.
Our shift in perspective will allow us to know what is important and let everything else fall away. A sense of hope will gradually awaken within us, illuminating our future.
Through a tranquil lens, we will begin to recognize and appreciate the strengths within ourselves and others. Through the Two of Swords, we give up the fight and let peace in.
Our second card this week is the Queen of Wands. She represents the fire inside all of us, the energy that makes us loving, loyal friends and worthy adversaries.
The Queen speaks to the passionate energy that bubbles up when we see injustices and to the warrior in us who has endured the very worst of days and emerged stronger.
She possesses remarkable toughness and a strong sense of conviction. She is always ready to voice her thoughts and stand by her beliefs. Although her past has made her powerful and opinionated, she lacks diplomatic skills. Her intensity can be overpowering and turn people off.
As we journey through the holiday season, we must be aware of how we communicate, as it can be even more challenging. We should use the lessons of the Queen of Wands to practice compassionate expression.
Some questions we might ask are: How can we be both strong and warm at the same time? How can we share our passion without alienating others? How can we have compassion for those we disagree with while still holding them accountable?
Let the fire push you to create change through understanding and grace. The kindness in your communication and actions will make them so much more impactful.
Mantra for the week: I welcome peace into my mind and heart. My energy is both warm and strong.
