Seven of Wands and The Emperor

This week, we have a Gemini New Moon, offering the perfect opportunity to take a breath and let a new lunar cycle begin. New Moons bring hope and a fresh start, and the cards show us where to focus our energy. The cards continue to call us to leadership, and I believe it’s time we listen.

Our first card is the Seven of Wands. This card is centered around courage. It is about feeling your fears and doing it anyway. It calls on us to acknowledge what we feel are our limitations and push past them anyway.

Stepping out of our comfort zone and being brave is scary work. But it helps to define our fears and look at them closely. Ask yourself: What are you afraid of? What is holding you back? How can you both recognize the fear and still proceed forward?

The Seven of Wands does not want the fear to hold us back. It reminds us that if we did not feel fear, courage would not be needed. We have been working on our personal dreams, and it is time to have the courage to take action.

We can put our feet on the ground and take more steps toward our goals. We have all the skills and strengths inside of us. We are ready to step into our power and purpose on this earth.

Our second card this week is the Emperor, which prominently highlights themes of leadership, relationships, and integrity. It underscores the importance of embodying strength and confidence in guiding others.

The Emperor is a unique kind of leader. He does not lead through fear, manipulation, or control. Instead, he leads by example, knowing his actions match his values. He is confident in his abilities and does not flex his ego. Others see his quiet leadership and are drawn to his energy.

He also brings out the best in those around him by encouraging them to be leaders. He always builds others up and never takes anyone down. Through relationship-building, he earns respect and loyalty. People follow him because it serves them well and improves their lives.

Under the influence of the Emperor card, we ask ourselves: What qualities do I respect in others? Do I have those qualities in myself? How can I step up as the leader I am meant to be?

We should look to ourselves to lead. We are the ones who will usher in a new way of being: a way of kindness, compassion, and creativity. But don’t be afraid of this power. We must embrace our leadership and step forward.
