Nikki’s Weekly Tarot Reading: March 16-22, 2026

Two of Swords and The Moon

This week, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Tanaaz, astrologer and the creator of Forever Conscious. We chatted about our journey to becoming professional readers, how the library started our love of divination, and how astrology and tarot can be supportive in these trying times. To get to know more about Tanaaz and me, see our chat here.

This week also marks our Astrological New Year and the Equinox, a time when day and night are in perfect balance. We also have a new moon in Pisces on March 18, which is clearing the energy and making way for the next cycle. The cards guide us through this magical period in the cosmos, offering their wisdom on how to move forward.

The Two of Swords is about taking time to pause. In the card, two swords are crossed above a still sea, and everything is quiet for a moment. We can step into this energy this week by grounding ourselves.

Take a moment to connect with your physical being through a body scan. Sit or lie comfortably and go through each body part, visualizing a warm light radiating comfort to each area. This activity is for your body, but it will also do wonders to calm your mind.

With this new energy, insights into how to address the issues we may be facing will become clear. We will see how to move through the turmoil we currently find ourselves in. We will see the light this week, whether at work, in a relationship, or with ourselves.

If you are honest about your feelings, you can tend to them more effectively. It may be a more challenging task at first, but dealing with things head-on ultimately brings you more peace overall.

Our next card this week is The Moon. The card depicts the face of the moon, the waves of the ocean, and two dogs howling. It connects us to the natural rhythms of the earth. We are called to tap into the cycles and rhythms of our lives and to go with the flow.

When we resist the natural ups and downs, we find ourselves exhausted and out of sync. However, when we acknowledge that everything has both peaks and valleys, we become more grounded and at peace.

We know that after winter, spring always follows. And that all new moons will lead to a full moon and back again. It is the same with our lives. There are times of plenty and times with less. The more comfortable we are with the cyclical nature of life, the more we can find the good in each moment.

The Moon card indicates a voyage to the centre of ourselves. When we journey inside, we don’t find flaws or weaknesses, but an unshakeable core that is steady through all the phases of life.

When we connect to ourselves through the Moon’s guidance, we find our psychic and intuitive abilities. Essential parts of ourselves are revealed when we open up to what is deep inside.

Mantra for the week:  I invite peace into my mind and heart and embrace the natural cycles of life.
